I got my sensor plugged it in and it ran fine for two tasks. When I came home latter the sensor has LCD display was blank and driver has been set to unkown device. I have plugged it into all 8 of my USB ports. The LCD stay blank when I plug it in. I am running Windows 7 Home 64-bit. Did my sensor die, what driver should I force the sensor to use?

Unkown Device
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

When I tried forcing drive to be generic mass storage device, I get "This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)"

I have tried switching cables as well.

As no drivers are required, I wonder why W7 si trying to use one :(

Does the backlight come on? Any beeping?

Have you tried plugging a USB memory stick in and seeing if that works? Just in case your ports are messed up somehow.

Do you have a power-saving mode that's turned off USB power?

Cheers,

Al.

It finally came back on after unplugging every USB item (Keyboard, Mouse, HDD, card reader, Quake-Catcher Network Sensor. The driver that W7 assigns the sensor when working is "USB Input Device".

As for the power-saving mode on USB, that is what I thought at first but you could hear the hum of the 400v, but no beeps or LED. But all is good now.
