The new layout looks fine with me, with one exception:
If I quote something, it becomes white letters on a white background, so not really readable:

Is this just my problem, or do others experience the same?

I see the problem too. Also, at the left side of the screen, under the poster's name, the poster's title is not visible. Presumably it's the same problem, white text on white background. Actually, the problem with the titles being invisible only affects project staff because volunteers don't have titles.
