Message 1870 - Posted: 9 Jul 2013 | 16:14:09 UTC

I received my sensor - hurray!!

Plugged it in, ran user mod, changed my preferences to buzzer: disabled, unplugged sensor and plugged it back in. Downloaded a new wu by updating.

Yet the sensor beeps all the time still (I'm guessing whenever radiation hits a threshold)

Also, there's a button at one end - what does this do?

Thanks!

i would finish a workunit with buzzer settings -> off. at least with the next new WU, im sure it will go off ;) there is no need to unplug or such things. I connected two detector on two different machines and it works.

Auto enable does not work with this series, so settings must be switched to "off"

The 'hardware' prefs are updated when workunit starts or is restarted (does not matter) but you have to contact the server after updating the preferences. So the safest way is to update prefs then abort the current workunit, the settings will be downloaded with the new work.

Hi,

I had exact same question so this was a useful post although I would still like to know about the button,

I received my sensor - hurray!!

...

Also, there's a button at one end - what does this do?

Thanks!

It is easy to discover. Plug sensor to a computer and try to push the button. The buzzer will stop beeping.
