Does anyone have any idea why my computer no longer gets points for completed and valid WUs? Apart from not being able to set a location (which is a very long known Bug), I can't find a problem with the sensor?

Picking the latest returned WU (http://radioactiveathome.org/boinc/result.php?resultid=17462119), the sensor isn't found:

Radac $Rev: 585 $ starting...
Could not find any of the devices listed in sensors.xml: Device communication error

Looked at a couple of others, and they are the same.

Probably been fscked up by a Windows 11 driver update :)

I guess that's the Case, as I recently updated the wonderful Windows 10 to the shitty eleven on my new Hardware.

So the project is for the arse finally as none cares for anything here.

Might be something simple like USB Selective Suspend being active (and not working properly anyway).

But, Win 11 is an absolute turd. I had endless problems with two brand new out of box laptops. Golden rule is: Block automatic updates immediately by setting your network connection to 'Metered'. It does like replacing drivers with generic ones that don't work with some hardware.

p.s. You can set your location manually. Just remember that the latitude and longitude boxes are the wrong way round.

Yes, I remember the “special features” of this map.

Now i attached my other Sensor to this Computer and it seems to be recognized, but now it shows a Port Opening Issue:

Stderr output

<core_client_version>8.0.4</core_client_version>
<![CDATA[
<stderr_txt>
Debug: Using port number: 1
Radioactive@Home app rev $Rev: 585 $ for GMC-300 starting...
COM1 opened for read/write
Debug: Port timeouts:
ReadTotalTimeoutConstant: 1000
ReadIntervalTimeout: 0
ReadTotalTimeoutMultiplier: 100
WriteTotalTimeoutMultiplier: 100
WriteTotalTimeoutConstant: 1000
gmc_GetVersion(): read failed
Unable to open port COM109:17:06 (6944): called boinc_finish

</stderr_txt>
]]>

I tested several different Ports 1, 3, 4, 5 - each one the same Issue

Stderr output

<core_client_version>8.0.4</core_client_version>
<![CDATA[
<stderr_txt>
Debug: Using port number: 5
Radioactive@Home app rev $Rev: 585 $ for GMC-300 starting...
Unable to open port COM510:33:12 (3852): called boinc_finish

</stderr_txt>
]]>

Port 1 is currently the only port where at the beginning of the stderr output it can be opnened but then at then end also shows "Unable to open port".
