Locations are given by users on their hosts preferences site. Simply when first WU come back from host and validate you get a map in host preferences to give your position. It's opt to you that you give us your exact position or street 500 yards/meters from you...

I've got my sensor and have returned 2 completed work units, but do not find this map or an option to set my position?

Has anyone got their sensors yet? I'm in Spain but has yet to get mine.

Will you be sending us a shipping code so we can track the package?

Great news, thanks! I'll start looking for a box to put it in ;)

OK, I've placed my order, I hope it's not too late!

You are still going to provide assembled detectors later, right? I've not ordered yet as my soldering skills are not that great, though I could probably manage it (only soldering is required, not programming the chip, correct?).
If you are not going to supply assembled detectors, I'll order a kit now...

I was wondering, since the goal is to make a worldwide 24/7 gamma detector network, will the sensors be powerful enough to detect gamma ray bursts, or is there no way to distinguish those from gamma radiation from terrestrial sources?

I believe gamma rays pass pretty much unhindered through most stuff, so as soon as your walls are not dense lead or meter-thick concrete I don't think it matters.

Wouldn't it be better to let us pre-order the detectors? Sorry, but I for one won't donate when I have to pay 30€ for the detector, that in my opinion is enough of a donation ;)
I will however pre-order if the postage + packaging is reasonable!
20) Message boards : Number crunching : Graphics (Message 49)

I was wondering, will you make graphics / a screensaver so we can see the output from the sensor directly?
While on most projects a screensaver is just extra eyecandy, I think on this project it is a requirement, both so that we can see if the sensor is working, and to keep us interested in the science.
If not a screensaver, then you should at least include some external program to monitor the sensor.
What are your plans on this?
