You're right :) It actually has an internal resistance 10MOhm! measurement error :(

I have tried it with my solderstation, but unfortunately without any success. :(

According the "German Data Sheet" of the SBM-20, the:

Recommended operating voltage is 400 Volts,
Working voltage range 350-475 Volts and
Initial voltage 260-320 Volts...
http://geigernet.origo.ethz.ch/system/files/SBM-20_GER1.pdf

The voltage (194 Volts) is too low!?!?!

Contact is very good ;)

My test results (see video):
194 Volt on STS 5 und
403 Volt on C6
257 Volt between R23 and R22

I have instructed misunderstood:
So here again spontaneity shorting (which is also happens when the geiger tube triggers):

Nothing with geigertube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2w6AZbZQIGY

The Buzzer works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yS2MeKLIDo but the sensor crash (Display?!)

Switching on and off again (in windows), after connect and shorting? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dneOevzHnrc * Debug(R@h-Mode) ... is probably due to the initialization.

@TJM
Yes, 34063 is in the socket.

I have now shorted the sensor lines.

The same behavior as with sensor (high-frequency chirping, but nothing out of the buzzer): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECmYSGl5OcE

I can not say whether there operating voltage is applied, because today I have no measuring device available.

Do I need a new counter tube?

Cables are okay, Voltage is transformed ! and transferred to the tube? :(

We call those alligator clips, because it looks like an aligator's mouth with all the teeth. :)
...

We called it "krokodylki" which is very similar ;)

Poland is not so far away, we call them "Krokodilklemme". ;)

But yes. We all think the same.

Cost of detector will be around 100PLN (25-30GBP) and it is only cost for device - we do it as non-profit organisation.

Soon as we find all details we will publish software sources and updated hardware diagram.

Krzysztof 'krzyszp' Piszczek

Hi Krzysztof,

Nice 25Euro?

Is that the price for the electronic device inc sensor Geiger Tube?

There ist cheaper than a QNC sensor... ;)
