Works great with loose leaf tea! For some teas, I prefer to leave the tea leaves in, so I just utilize the single layer filter. With the leaves in the bottle, the single layer filter keeps the leaves contained as you sip. For other tea, I find the basket is best to use because I wish to be in a position to pull the tea leaves out easily - either as it's going to steep too much, or because I wish to re-steep the tea leaves later. You may also use the top layer filter to create fruit infused water. Throw some pineapple, kiwi, raspberries, strawberries, peaches - whatever you desire - and you've got instant fruit water WITHOUT ADDED SUGAR. That is amazing. Your future-self will thank your present-self without end for it. On top of all this, you may also brew your java right in the bottle. Just add course-ground coffee to the filter basket, do a slow pour-over, and you've got coffee that tastes like French-press. Use a slightly finer coffee grind to make a richer java. For anyone (you know who you are) into more "complex" drinks, you can also make use of the Sun Bottle as your own personal cocktail infuser. Oh, one more cool feature. It is double-walled - which translates as INSULATED. It'll keep your hot drink hot/cold drink cold for a few hours. So cool. I mean hot. If you are curious about keeping it clean after all of this amazement, not a problem - it's yet another insightful bit of design. The inner part of the glass is ROUND. Which means that it's super trendy AND super easy to get clean. Okay, yet another thing (it just keeps going doesn't it?): The inner stopper in the bamboo cap has a complete silicone sleeve.
