| Description | Lately, while sitting in my seat drinking the final of my break fast coffee, a thought staggered into my mind. I must admit most ideas are quite alone once they enter my head, but this one had a aspect to it. Experience has shown me I should never give in to these unusual trespassers. Every time I entertain some of them, Im the one getting burnt. This time around was different. To get further information, please consider taking a view at: like. But, the more I thought about it, the more wonderfully delicious it sounded. Easily am doing it for my spouse how can anything fail? The sole question I had a need to answer was what sort of cake must I make. After having a long amount of ruminating, I settled on a lemon sponge cake with peanut-butter icing. This is likely to function as the most useful surprise my wife has actually received from me. Sitting in a prominent place in your kitchen is my wifes Betty Crocker Cook book. I dont know how long she's had that book, its been in our kitchen for as long as I can remember which actually might not be that long when I come to think about it. I took the book, sat within my favorite chair and opened it. How do you read a cookbook? It did not have any rhyme or reason if you ask me, when i leafed through it. In musing on the book I thought to myself, how essential is it to follow directions? Putting the book in its respected position, I concluded that since this is my meal, I didnt need help from anybody else, particularly Betty Crocker. Here is the difference between women and men. While men enjoy the liberty of doing their own thing, women need a lot of guidelines. I knew exactly what I needed. A sponge cake, with peanut butter icing. What could be easier? Rescuing a large mixing bowl, I assembled most of the components I needed; flour, sugar, eggs, milk and baking powder. Everybody knows you can't make without baking powder. I have no idea what baking powder is, except when you bake you use baking powder. I put every thing within the mixing bowl. The only thing I wasnt quite sure of was the measure, but how hard could that be anyway? Gloria Crocker mentioned a cup of the and a cup of the, but never explained what she meant by a cup. I viewed all of the cups and went to the case. There have been all sizes and kinds of cups and I did not know which one to work with. I eyed a sizable coffee cup and thought to myself, this may have the desired effect. I dumped 6 o-r 8 glasses of flour into the mixing bowl, I cant remember just how many. Then I cracked several eggs and put that in to the mixing bowl too. Flowing a of milk into the mixing bowl, I whipped everything into a nice player. This was to be a lemon sponge cake but I can find nothing notable lemon in the wardrobe. I opened the ice box, and as luck would have it, I discovered a quart of lemonade. I put this mix to the biggest meal pot I may find. As I was about to put it into the oven, I remembered the baking powder. How is this meal likely to cook if it doesnt have the baking powder? Establishing the cake pan down, I grabbed the baking powder and liberally sprinkled it on top of my player. I've no notion what baking powder does but I put enough on my meal therefore it would do an excellent job. Into the stove the meal went, and with a film of the hand I turned the temperature to 450 degrees. Remembering this is a big meal, I readjusted the temperature to 650. The bigger the dessert the hotter the oven, is what I say. Now all I needed to do was wait for my cake to bake. As I was waiting, I heard rumblings coming from the stove but just chalked that up to and including great cake baking. I think I fell asleep, because the next thing I knew there is a strange scent permeating the air. It smelled just a little smoky and then it dawned on me. My dessert, its done. What I pulled from the stove did not resemble any dessert I'd ever seen. It appeared to be a pancake, twice the size of the cake pan, with a few type of illness at first glance. No level of peanut butter sugar in the world could hide this tragedy. It had been about that time I began reassessing the thought of reading directions. Maybe guidelines have an intention in the end.
