AKA -- trigggl of SETI.USA Mega Milestoners
I'm a survivor of a brain tumor since '04, but in spite of that, I'm
still able to perform my job as an engineer. Chemo is a fading memory.
Here's my wife and I at Pinnacle State Park in Arkansas.
One of my hobbies is messing with my Linux computers and learning as much as
I can about them. I've learned to create an mp3 server recently on my
IBM pSeries running Gentoo Linux. The IBM is in the attic, but the mp3 server lives on. |

Proud member of the Mega Milestoner division of SETI.USA.
Distributed computing in general is a great idea. Harnessing unused
processor cycles can help projects such as this that need large amounts
of data processed. If the computers are running, they might as well be
doing something useful. |
