Message 1742 - Posted: 27 May 2013 | 9:15:42 UTC

Hi,

I'm constantly getting this Message:

Hello,
your sensor connected to host wxyz has no location set. (Where wxyz is the 4-digit host id of one of my Machines) Please go to your hostpage and add a marker on the map.
...
Hosts with no location are granted only half of the credits.

This is an automated blablabla

The first few times I got this Message I did as recommended but now I'm getting a bit bored by that Mail.

How can I tell the Project Server that I've set all neccessary Settings in a Way that it remembers for it longer than say 2 Weeks?

Regards

Did you really get bored by message which is sent only once every 14 days ? %-)
One of your sensors has no location set (you have to set it for each of the sensors/hosts separately) and that's why you're getting this mail. If the no loc is on purpose, I'll add your hostid to the 'ignore list' and you won't get the mail again.

Hi TJM,

And you're sure you read my Post completely? Just kidding...

"The first few times I got this Message" says I already got this Message. And I got it - I guess - at least 10 times so far.

And yes, I'm bored by Messages on the same Topic that happen to arrive more than once, even if I did as recommended.

These kind of Messages tell me, "the System behind" is not intelligent enough to recognize that I've set my Location already.

So the No Location setting isn't on purpose. If you can add the HostID 6876 on the Ignore List WITHOUT getting only half Credit then I'd appreciate.

At the Moment I'm getting ~14.1 Credits per WU on my other Host, and 0.00 on this Host, so the Calculation of "half the Credits" is broken too :-)))

This new Sensor really seems to have Issues...
The old one just works and works and works.

There are two separate problems.

1. The sensor connected to host 6876 does not work at all, from the app point of view, there is no sensor, so no credits.

2. You have two hosts. The location is set for host #130.
#6876 has empty record. Well, at least it had until now, because I've just copied data from host 130 to 6876, just stripped the last 3 digits.

Take a look at the maps in host details here
http://radioactiveathome.org/boinc/show_host_detail.php?hostid=130
and here
http://radioactiveathome.org/boinc/show_host_detail.php?hostid=6876

This is not the same location, it's set for each host separately.

Btw, the list of known issues for v3.01 is very short compared to previous revisions.

Hi,

great, thanks!

I've set the location once again. Let's see, how it'll work now.

Best Regards
