Hi, have you ever thought about integrating the urad project to any other radiation mapping project so in the end we have a single big map with all the radiation sensors on the world?

have a look for example at http://blog.safecast.org/maps/ , they even have an easy to use api (http://api.safecast.org) which you could use for each measurement you receive.

Other examples i found are:

Maybe there are even more, wouldn't it be great to have a single collector for all the radiation data?

I had send query on http://radmon.org/ forum and allow them to use our data through script published on our forum...

Hi all
Dan mw0uzo from radmon.org here.
Its great to get the readings from both sites put together, thank you Krzysztof for saying hi on the forums :)
Still a fair bit of work to do on the map, but it appears to work OK!

After adding in warning and alert levels based on the station average and a few more fixes, I think the map is ready for action.

I have updated the main http://www.radmon.org map and released some news about it :)

I am really happy to see this collaboration. It turns the 2 projects into a very robust system, with 2 separate collectors that can be independently viewed. And with at least some of the detectors reporting to both collectors, there is extra resilience to server problems (say if a blackout hits the city - mine had a 5 day outage last Winter).

Well done, Krzysztof!
And Thanks,

Hi all, was wondering if any progress had been made getting radmon.org readings on your map?
It seems a bit one way at the moment - this was not the intention! radmon.org ethos is to share data the scientific way :)
I'm happy to help getting the data in a format suitable for radioactiveathome. Any questions on format just let me know.

maybe OT for this thread:
I'm missing some reactors in the Netherlands.

Currently only Borsele is listed on the map, as it is active.

There are two other active reactors in NL. In Petten and at the University of Delft's Reactor institute, the first is still relatively large and mainly produces radionucleides for hospitals and research, the latter is a ~4kW unit for university teaching, still it is a nuclear reactor with all safety issues related.

Next to that there is Dodewaard, which is a dismantled unit. It is unknown to me what the status is, but it is cooling down I guess. Another one of that type is present in the German town of Lingen, next to the active reactor.

Should such objects be present on the map? Should one be able to distinguish between reactors or have information about them on the maps?

These are just some hints that could improve the useability of the project?

Post to thread
