For every two seconds the WU is being processed it seems to gain a new one in time to completion. WUs last longer than two days all of a sudden.

I'm seeing a few WUs getting stuck and over-running their time or having to about them because the progress bar is stuck. Seems to be losing contact with the sensor.

Could just be Windows misbehaving, I know it sounds obvious but have you tried rebooting the PC to see if it starts working again?
