Well this is weird. I've upgraded my computer with an SSD and took the opportunity to install the latest version of Linux Mint (18), as I was on 17.1 before, and BOINC updated to 7.6.31 from 7.2.42. I wasn't expecting it to make any difference to Rad at home tasks, as they don't use much cpu/disk anyway, but now I've got it up and running, I'm seeing all my tasks end in about the same elapsed time as before, cpu time is similar, but I only get half as many credits per task! | |
