Here is mine, large box because it contains alternate power circuits and auto switching to standalone mode when USB is not connected.
It weights around 1.5kg but the internal battery provides enough power to run for over 150 hours if fully charged.

Here you go :)

I might take some pictures inside the box someday and upload, though there's nothing much to show, just some support made of wood. The geiger tube is wrapped in foam in the bottom of the box.

TJM so in stand alone mode it does not report any of the data but just acts like only a detector then? or does it store the data and then send it in when it is reconnected?

Thank you
Aaron

It doesn't store any data in standalone mode, however the pulse and time counters are working and the power is not lost when switching to battery and back, so it's possible to read average radiation since last power on.

I've modified my sensor, I thought the tube would be better off inside the casing, and the soup box was too short for it. So I took an old Haribo 1kg Box, and could even fit some other inside as well ;)

And I've modified it again a bit, this time with a little sponsorship of my companies electricians. I think it looks a bit more professional, but it lacks the 1Kg Haribo wine gum appeal ;):

Very nice job!!

This detector will be my next model, every bell and whistle you could dream of including GPS, solar power, remote sensing over wi-fi, stable transformerless high voltage, programmable with a TV remote control, can log data to PC or to removable memory card, works with a wider range of GM tubes, long battery life, battery charger. And the inventor is willing to make it compatible with Radioactive@Home.

I put my detector in a box to eliminate the high-frequency fizzling, so I can place it now on the window ledge. Before it was in a drawer :)

Is it just the perspective, or do you live in Bonsailand?

I don't know if you have noticed that;
