Therefore, the first batch of sensors spread fairly smoothly and we noted no major problems with their operation, we decided to inform you that we are preparing for the next batch.
Over the next two weeks we should start a collection for a series of 100 to 200 pieces of detectors (depending on your interests).
The second series is likely to include special packaging (however, will continue to be necessary to assembly it yourself - it is still a "kit") and will allow the battery power. The price we will try to keep the same, or slightly higher level.

Anyone who planning a group purchase, please contact me via PM.

Does this mean that you will be waiting until you get 100 - 200 commitments before you send next batch out then?

Not trying to be a major pain, just trying to guesstimate about when I might receive my detectors and can actually get going with them here.

I work at a power plant and we have several gamma radiation sources there. It will be interesting to see how much the shielding really does shield and any differences from on axis and off axis exposure.

Ok.

In my calculations, about 70-100 (minimum) will be ordered by batch orders for Germany, France, USA and this is enough to make an order for required parts. We also would like to give opportunity for others to place order and also give us some time if any problems arrive (vide: recent late PCB deliveries from manufacturer).

Currently my plan (but still can change) is to start collecting orders before December and place orders for all parts before 5-7th of December. If everything going right we will start delivery late January.

Most time consuming in all process is... waiting. Until we haven't money to pay upfront for parts, we can't do this process faster...

I'll take one even if shipping will be a bit expensive to New Zealand. It can sit next to the QCN sensor.

If you both order them together, you can probably save a lot of postage, inside Norway it's probably cheaper to send a (very small) parcel, could be even packaged as a letter here in Germany.

Trust Me-post in Norway is very expensive compared to Polish Post service... A parcel up to 10Kg costs 160NOK(this is about 90PLN) and sending a 1Kg package by Polish Post from Poland to Norway costs 56PLN...

Due to delays in deliveries of components, we have to postpone the dispatch of the second batch of detectors.
Currently, we plan to start sending equipment on 15-20 February.

We apologise for the delay.

Hello! Take an order for two sensor delivery to Ukraine.

We NEVER take orders until we not finish previous!
Please, don't send messages to me or other Rad@H members before we publish next collections.
Obviously, we can (if you really wish) supply one or two detectors for you if you pay market price for all parts and deliveries - but in this case, detector cost will really higher than 27 Euro...
How much it will be? Make components list from diagram and check prices on your nearest shop...

I agree to wait for the announcement of the admission of new orders. As for the real price, do not forget that I buy a sensor to participate in your project. When you are ready to accept new orders?

Apologise please. I been little be stressed. On website and forum we loads of times inform when and how we collect orders and I still have loads of PM's and emails with same questions, answering for that can be... stressfully...
Anyway, biggest problem is that nobody from our team can afford few thousands of Euro to build firstly some detectors and just simply sell it.

But you are definitely right in part "do not forget that I buy a sensor to participate in your project" - that's true. :(

What is the real value of the sensor, if we started talking about it?

Google for other sensors and you will see they are around $200 US or more. This project charges you only for the cost of the components plus shipping. They don't charge you for all the work they do designing the device, writing the software, the time spent ordering and receiving components, assembling the components, programming the microprocessor, testing the device, packaging and shipping it. Szopler hand soldered all the components for the first order. That's enough to drive most men crazy but he did it for no charge!!

So the real value of the sensor is about 6X what you pay for it. You might be buying a device to participate in their project but they are giving you a lot of their time and expertise at absolutely no cost to you and sharing their sensor data with everybody for free. So if you can't follow the simple directions for placing an order and expect them to just jump when you call and send you a sensor then think again. There is no other project like this in the entire world and you (all of us) should feel privileged to have a chance to participate. If you think the cost of their sensor entitles you to get huffy then you have a problem dude.
